This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the VenueSync platform and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using VenueSync, you agree to this AUP.
VenueSync is a professional coordination tool. The behaviors described here undermine the trust, safety, and reliability of the platform for everyone on it.
1. Prohibited conduct
You may not use VenueSync to engage in any of the following:
Illegal activity
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Facilitate, coordinate, or conceal illegal activity of any kind
- Infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any person
Harmful content
- Upload, transmit, or distribute content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Upload content that contains malware, viruses, spyware, or any other malicious code
Platform integrity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any VenueSync system without our written authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Service without our express written permission
- Bypass any technical measures we use to restrict access
Misuse of the platform
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use VenueSync to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) to any person
- Create fake events, fake vendor profiles, or any other fabricated content intended to deceive
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the Service without our written authorization
- Use VenueSync to circumvent your contractual obligations to your clients or vendors
Vendor protections
- Misuse vendor personal information accessed through VenueSync for purposes unrelated to event coordination
- Attempt to harvest or export vendor contact information from VenueSync for use outside the platform
- Use VenueSync's messaging system to send messages unrelated to the events on which you and the vendor are both participants
2. Content standards
All Content you upload or generate within VenueSync must:
- Be accurate and not intentionally misleading
- Not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other right
- Not contain personal information about individuals beyond what is necessary for legitimate event coordination
- Not contain material that would be considered offensive, obscene, or inappropriate in a professional business context
3. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and, in our sole discretion, take action against any violation of this AUP, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Temporarily suspending access
- Permanently terminating the account
- Removing or disabling Content
- Reporting the conduct to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
We will endeavor to notify you of enforcement action and provide an opportunity to respond, except where immediate action is required (for example, to prevent ongoing harm or where law enforcement requests confidentiality).
Appeals against enforcement actions may be submitted to trust@venue-sync.com within 30 days of the action.
4. Reporting violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, please report it to trust@venue-sync.com with as much detail as possible. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will not disclose the identity of the reporter without consent, except as required by law.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of VenueSync after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
